Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Educator in a collaborative school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. Partner with passionate colleagues and provide individualized services to help students thrive. This contracted, in-person opportunity spans from late August through mid-June and is based near Montpelier, VT, with positions available at both middle and high school levels.
Three positions are open:
- Middle School Special Educator delivering direct services and managing cases in a vibrant school community.
- Middle School Special Educator working on-site, teamed with an experienced remote Case Coordinator to deliver comprehensive support.
- High School Special Educator providing both direct student services and case management, advocating for student success throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Special Education Teaching credentials in accordance with state requirements.
- Experience with in-person special education services, including IEP implementation and case management responsibilities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to liaise with students, families, and school teams.
- A commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments for learners with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' individual education plans.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain thorough documentation on student progress.
- Collaborate consistently with general education staff, related service providers, and families.
- Stay current with best practices in the field and actively participate in professional development.
