You’ll work part-time, providing crucial support for an overloaded classroom of nine students on your caseload. This role is scheduled for 12.5 hours weekly, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, allowing you to concentrate your energy on small group instruction and targeted interventions. If you are seeking a full-time schedule, there may be room to expand the opportunity to fit your needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience working with middle school students, preferably at the 7th grade level
  • Background in reading and language arts instruction
  • Strong skills in modifying curriculum and differentiating instruction
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored reading and language arts instruction to 7th graders
  • Manage a caseload of nine students, implementing IEPs and monitoring progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for maximum student benefit
  • Provide ongoing communication with families and school personnel
  • Support a positive and productive classroom environment
