Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas Special Education Certification (K-12) required
- Texas Generalist License (K-12 or for specific age group)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, including working with life skills or inclusion settings
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt instruction, collaborate with general educators, and communicate effectively with students and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and instruction in inclusion classrooms, meeting the diverse needs of 20-25 students
- Implement and modify IEPs to promote student growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and ancillary staff
- Maintain clear and meaningful communication with families regarding student progress
- Use data-driven approaches to track academic and behavioral progress
- Participate in school meetings, staff development, and team planning
