Special Education Teacher in Norfolk, VA

You will have the opportunity to work in just one assigned school, making a meaningful connection with your students and colleagues.
Multiple positions are available, including three openings for Early Childhood Special Education and three for K-12 Special Education. If you have a specific age group preference, your input will be considered for placement.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure in Special Education: General Curriculum (PreK-12), Adapted Curriculum (PreK-12), or Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Age 5)
- Demonstrated experience working with students in special education settings
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school teams and families
- Dedicated to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with administrators, colleagues, and families to support student success
- Utilize instructional strategies and interventions to meet diverse learning needs
- Continuously monitor and report on student progress
- Participate in professional development and school-based meetings
