Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to four students with severe behavioral challenges.
- Employ evidence-based classroom management techniques, incorporating de-escalation and crisis management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with other educators, staff, and families to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior interventions, and IEP goals and objectives.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Participate in relevant training and professional development to maintain the best practices in special education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification.
- Proven background working with students exhibiting severe behaviors in a school setting.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individualized student goals.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
