Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Proven background working with students exhibiting severe behavioral difficulties
- Experience developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training highly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to four students with severe behavior needs
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s IEP goals and learning styles
- Implement evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports
- Collaborate closely with school psychologists, therapists, and administrators
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Communicate proactively with parents and guardians, sharing student progress and strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
