Special Education Teacher | Northbrook, Illinois

What you’ll bring:
- Valid PEL and teaching licenses for Illinois
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a resource or middle school setting
- Strong knowledge of SPED best practices and legal compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Ability to start on-site from August 17, 2026 to December 18, 2026
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specially designed instruction to a caseload of 6th grade students in a resource environment
- Implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and regularly monitoring student progress
- Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Maintaining accurate documentation and delivering updates to parents and school staff
- Participating in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and staff meetings
- Creating an engaging and adaptive learning atmosphere for all students
Enjoy a stable weekday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, working 32.5 hours per week onsite. This role offers the chance for ongoing placement beyond the first semester if a direct hire is not secured.
