Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- School social worker endorsement mandatory
- Previous experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
- Organizational skills for managing varied caseloads
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to K–8 students across two different locations, supporting unique learning abilities
- Devise and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- Track progress and maintain documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Adapt teaching strategies to maximize student engagement and success
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to school initiatives as needed
