Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (as required by state guidelines)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably in special education settings
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and promoting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curriculum for students with diverse learning needs in 7th and 8th grade
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Communicate effectively with parents, support staff, and administration regarding student performance and needs
- Foster a positive, safe classroom culture that encourages participation and growth
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing team collaboration
