This full-time position spans the academic year from September 17, 2026, to June 11, 2027, working with 7th and 8th graders across varying caseloads, with groups ranging from 8 to 20 students. Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree completed with an approved Special Education preparation program.
- Successful completion of required Connecticut testing and eligibility requirements.
- Active Connecticut teaching certificate, including the Comprehensive Special Education endorsement (#165).
- Ability to adapt to various educational settings, addressing a wide array of academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to students in 7th and 8th grade on your caseload.
- Develop and implement effective IEPs in alignment with district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure holistic student development.
