You’ll support a small group of students in a co-taught model at two sites: grades 3–4 at the elementary level and grades 7–8 at the middle school level, with each group kept intentionally small to encourage individualized attention and collaborative teaching strategies.
What we seek:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain it)
- Experience working in inclusive, co-taught classrooms preferred
- Strong commitment to empowering diverse learners
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborative approach, comfortable working with general education partners
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Must be available full-time, onsite for the contract duration
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized support for students with identified needs in small-group settings
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive instruction
- Develop, track, and report on IEP goals and student progress
- Differentiate lesson plans and instructional strategies to accommodate all learners
- Promote a positive, supportive classroom environment for every student
- Communicate regularly with families and teams to ensure student success
- Uphold compliance with state and district policies
