Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, ideally in co-taught settings
- Strong collaboration skills; able to coordinate lesson plans and intervention strategies with general education teachers
- Ability to build rapport and engage with students in grades 3–4 and 7–8
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Co-teach in grades 3–4 at a primary school and grades 7–8 at a middle school, partnering with classroom teachers to support student success
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in regular IEP meetings
- Adapt and modify instructional materials to ensure accessibility for all students on your caseload
- Serve as an advocate for students’ educational and behavioral needs within the school community
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture that promotes academic and personal growth
