We are seeking a dedicated special education professional to deliver extended school year services focused on reading and math. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 8 individualized, 60-minute sessions of academic reading and math instruction
- Utilize specialized strategies and interventions appropriate for students with intellectual disabilities
- Collaborate with caregivers and any supporting staff to reinforce learning objectives
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting instructional approaches as necessary
- Maintain a supportive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with students with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Strong background in academic intervention, particularly reading and math
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic teaching style
- Ability to develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans
