This full-time contract opportunity follows a regular daily schedule from 7:50 AM–3:50 PM and spans the academic year, beginning August 24th, 2026. You’ll have the chance to contribute to students’ success while enjoying the support of a dedicated school team.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Pass state and federal background checks
What You’ll Do:
- Create individualized instructional plans for a class of 3rd-grade students with diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment supporting social, emotional, and academic growth
- Track and report student progress toward IEP goals, making recommendations as needed
- Support students in both general and specialized classroom settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Engage with parents and guardians on student progress and developments
- Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
