As a dedicated Special Education Teacher, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of 8-18 Pre-K students at a key Early Childhood Center. Utilizing your expertise and compassion, you’ll play a central role in shaping each child’s early education experience and fostering an environment where they can thrive.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, with Early Childhood endorsement preferred
- Previous experience supporting young children with varied learning needs
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and collaborate with families and educational teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Capacity to build nurturing relationships with students, staff, and caregivers
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with each student’s unique developmental needs
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions for early childhood learners
- Maintain consistent documentation, collect progress data, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Foster engaging, inclusive classroom environments supporting academic and social-emotional growth
