Special Education Teacher - Overland Park, Kansas

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Kansas teaching license in Special Education (must provide credential upon request)
- Previous experience teaching in K-12 special education settings (resource and/or self-contained classrooms)
- Strong communication skills with parents, colleagues, and external service providers
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt materials for diverse learning needs
- Positive, compassionate, and flexible approach to students and teaching challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to student IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom aides and related service staff to maximize student success
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate student progress and strategies with families and multidisciplinary teams
