Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential appropriate for K-8 or 6–8, as required for Arizona
- Experience working with resource caseloads in a school setting preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Solid classroom management and differentiated instruction abilities
- Compassion and understanding for students with a variety of exceptionalities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and accommodations according to each student’s IEP
- Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusion in classroom activities
- Maintain compliance with special education laws, documentation, and case management
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and communicate student achievements to families and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
