Preferred Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education certification (or eligibility) for the state of Pennsylvania
- Experience working in K-2 settings or with students requiring life skills support
- Strong classroom management and organization abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development and data-driven instruction
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative approach with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Compassion, patience, and creativity in adapting instructional methods
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions based on individual student IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Work collaboratively to develop, implement, and review IEPs and behavior plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet each child’s unique needs
- Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student goals and achievements
- Engage in ongoing professional development to support best practices in special education
