Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience serving students with behavioral and emotional needs
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective IEPs and behavioral interventions
- Strong classroom management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, families, and outside professionals
- Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals for 6th-8th grade students
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Monitor and document student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adjustments to instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success
- Engage regularly with parents/guardians to communicate progress, concerns, and support strategies
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
