⏰ Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday
💼 Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking two dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school community in Phoenix, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to work with students in self-contained classroom settings while collaborating with support staff and school teams to promote student growth and success.
Requirements
Active Arizona Special Education Teaching License
Valid Arizona IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Fingerprint Clearance Card
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
Position #1: Special Education Teacher – ASD Self-Contained
🎓 Grade Level: Kindergarten–1st Grade
🏫 Classroom Type: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Self-Contained Classroom
Schedule
Teacher Hours: 7:15 AM – 3:15 PM
Student Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
Wednesdays:
Student Dismissal: 12:45 PM
Weekly Professional Development held after dismissal
Additional Support
Two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
Foster a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Position #2: Special Education Teacher – Cross-Categorical Self-Contained
🎓 Grade Level: 7th–8th Grade
🏫 Classroom Type: Cross-Categorical Self-Contained Classroom
Schedule
Teacher Hours: 8:15 AM – 4:25 PM
Student Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:55 PM
Wednesdays:
Student Dismissal: 1:55 PM
Weekly Professional Development held after dismissal
Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs
Manage and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements
Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
