Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Arizona preferred, or ability to obtain)
- Experience with resource and self-contained classrooms preferred
- Strong skills in developing and writing IEPs
- Background in serving students with SLD, OHI, and Autism eligibility helpful
- Ability to manage classroom environments and provide differentiated instruction
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide onsite special education services to either:
- 27 resource students (grades 4th–8th) with SLD & OHI eligibility, or
- 7 self-contained students (grades 4th–6th) with SLD, OHI, Autism eligibility
- Write and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Track and document student progress through notes and reporting
- Manage classroom behavior in a supportive, positive way
- Collaborate with onsite lead teacher and access additional guidance via Zoom
