Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Background in special education teaching or experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and ability to adapt lesson plans for varying learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, general education teachers, and support staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and a commitment to attending necessary meetings
- Ability to provide both small group instruction outside the general classroom and student support within inclusive settings
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to students in small group, pull-out sessions
- Support students with diverse needs within the general education classroom through push-in services
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify lessons, assignments, and assessments
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation as required
- Participate actively in IEP and MET meetings to contribute to student success plans
- Adhere to staff schedules, including reporting 30 minutes before and after school hours
