In this role, you'll engage with approximately 24 students, working within a flexible service model that balances both push-in and pull-out supports. Your day will be split between guiding small instructional groups outside of the general education classroom and providing in-class assistance, promoting student growth and building positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certification for Special Education Teachers or substantial experience as a Paraprofessional in school settings
- Experience working with middle school students is highly desirable
- Familiarity with push-in and pull-out instructional models
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and service teams
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and following individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction in small groups outside the general education setting
- Provide direct support, accommodations, and modifications within the general education classroom
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for students with varied needs
- Participate actively in IEP and MET meetings, ensuring services align with student goals
- Maintain timely documentation and open communication with staff and families
- Adhere to school hours: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with additional time before and after the student day for planning, meetings, and preparation as required
