Exciting opportunity for a Special Education professional to excel in a fully remote, high school-focused role for the 2026-2027 school year. As the dedicated case manager and coordinator, you’ll work full-time (37.5 hours per week), overseeing a caseload of 45 students across two high school grades. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary case manager for a remote high school caseload
- Lead and coordinate IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations, ensuring all timelines and compliance standards are met
- Draft, update, and maintain high-quality, compliant IEPs
- Communicate consistently with teachers, service providers, staff, and families to provide updates on student progress and goals
- Review and utilize academic and behavioral data to inform IEP development and drive student support decisions
- Support the team in implementation and monitoring of accommodations and modifications
- Maintain detailed documentation and meet all state-mandated requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a current Vermont Special Educator license and meet all VT DOE SPED requirements
- Previous virtual experience specifically as a Vermont SPED case manager
- Strong knowledge of special education law, compliance, and IEP process
- Proven ability to coordinate and communicate within a focused team environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
