- Valid Oregon credentials as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with K-12 caseloads, in either self-contained or resource settings
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of a Special Education Teacher
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to fostering student growth and success
- Adaptability and patience in diverse instructional settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction tailored to meet each student's unique learning needs
- Develop, write, and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to promote student inclusion and achievement
- Create a positive, supportive classroom environment fostering growth, respect, and independence
- Track and report student progress toward goals, adjusting instruction strategies as needed
- Engage in frequent, open communication with families and caregivers
- Uphold school and district policies and compliance standards
