Special Education Teacher in Ringgold, GA

This full-time contract position runs from August 4th, 2026 through May 26th, 2027, with the opportunity for continuation based on performance. Set in an inclusive environment with a dedicated team—two paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician—you’ll play an instrumental part in helping students thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Special Education certification, including SPED content through 8th grade
- Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required (willing to consider candidates with pending credentials)
- Experience or strong interest in working within a self-contained classroom for students with diverse needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to individualized student support and differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted curriculum and functional skills to a lower-functioning high school caseload
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, behavior technician, and related service providers
- Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment, and communicate progress to families and the school team
- Participate in required meetings, professional development, and assigned planning days
