In this full-time Special Education Teacher assignment, you’ll work closely with five dedicated paraprofessionals and lead a classroom of approximately 12 students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
- Prior experience with K-5 special education, preferably in a self-contained setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and passion for student success
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt lessons and activities to meet student needs
- Communicate progress with families and school staff
