Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid GaPSC Special Education certification with content coverage through 8th grade
- Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required (pending certification may be considered)
- Experience teaching or interning in self-contained special education settings
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and behavior intervention strategies
- Collaborates effectively with support staff and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and delivering instruction tailored to students’ functional and academic needs
- Managing IEPs and ensuring all accommodations are implemented with fidelity
- Creating a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Working closely with paraprofessionals and the RBT to facilitate student engagement and progress
- Engaging in regular communication with parents, caregivers, and school personnel
- Participating in pre- and post-planning as required by the school calendar
