Make a real impact in a self-contained ESE classroom setting, supporting students with exceptional needs and diverse learning levels. This contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to be an integral part of a school's special education program with a single-site assignment in the northwest region, primarily at the elementary level (other preferences may be accommodated when possible).
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida ESE certification
- K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
- Demonstrated experience leading a self-contained special education classroom
- Familiarity with a variety of exceptionalities and differentiated instructional strategies
- Commitment to compliance with all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements in Florida
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and manage a self-contained ESE classroom, developing individualized plans for a varied caseload of elementary students
- Implement curriculum modifications and behavioral strategies tailored to each student's needs
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and related service providers to foster collaborative support
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress tracking, and compliance with IEP objectives
- Participate in all required school, district, and team meetings and professional development opportunities
Additional Details:
- Contract period from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027
- Full-time, 35 hours per week during school hours (7 hours per day)
- On-site only (not open to remote or virtual assignments)
- Assignment will be at one school site (location details to be confirmed)
- Candidates must successfully complete all required fingerprinting and background checks, and participate in both a virtual prescreen and internal interview as part of the selection process
