You’ll have a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, working on-site for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Active Florida certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
- Valid K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
- Previous experience leading a self-contained classroom
- Strong commitment to meeting the needs of students with varying exceptionalities and abilities
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing (prior prints through AHCA Clearinghouse may be transferable)
- Willingness to participate in internal prescreen interviews virtually
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized, individualized instruction to a self-contained elementary ESE classroom
- Adapt and differentiate lessons according to student learning levels and needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to promote student progress
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for assigned students
- Track and document student growth, behavior plans, and classroom goals in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings
