Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential (mild/moderate emphasis)
- Previous experience supporting elementary-age students with mild-to-moderate needs preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to partner with all team members, including general education staff, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and support students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Create engaging lessons adapted to diverse learning needs
- Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on student growth and feedback
- Collaborate with teaching staff and related service providers to promote student inclusion and well-being
- Maintain accurate records related to student progress, goals, and compliance
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student successes and areas for growth
