We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized educational services to students in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for the 2026–2027 school year, ideal for an educator committed to supporting students with hearing differences in achieving academic and personal success.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and specialized educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
- Adapt instructional materials and classroom accommodations to meet individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Support students' communication, language development, and academic achievement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid New Mexico teaching license with Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education best practices.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
