Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience teaching students with emotional disabilities or related eligibility, particularly those with needs around prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Familiarity with serving at-risk, multilingual, ethnically diverse, and exceptional learners
- Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documents in compliance with federal, state, and district standards
- Completion of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or willingness to participate in this professional development
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to meet a variety of student needs, fostering a supportive and structured environment
- Utilize effective strategies for classroom management and positive behavioral supports
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and track student progress
