Qualifications:
- Current and valid Kansas teaching licensure in Special Education (copy of license required at time of submission)
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies for students with diverse needs
- Experience in resource or self-contained settings preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to foster inclusion and support individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction for students with varying abilities across K-12 grade levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with families and support staff
- Employ differentiated teaching methods tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment
- Support classroom management and establish a positive, respectful atmosphere
A wide range of placements are available, including Life Skills, Autism, SLC, Medically Fragile, and Behavioral Support roles. Assignments begin as soon as possible and extend through May 22, 2026, with the opportunity to work in an inclusive and mission-driven environment.
