Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility for certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students is highly preferred
- Strong skills in IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Ability to communicate compassionately with students, families, and colleagues
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and behavioral interventions
- Positive, flexible attitude with excellent time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to student IEP goals
- Collaborate with general educators to support inclusive practices
- Develop, update, and manage IEPs, maintaining compliance with all legal and district requirements
- Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence
- Communicate regularly with families to build strong, trusting relationships
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities
