Special Education Teacher - Silverton, Oregon

There are five open positions available, focusing on diverse caseloads:
- Behavior Classrooms (Elementary): Applicants must bring strong, hands-on experience working with elementary-aged students displaying behavioral challenges, including responding to physical aggression and elopement.
- High Volume LRC (Learning Resource Classroom): Seeking educators experienced in managing larger caseloads—an average of 43 students—while maintaining the highest educational support standards.
Candidates must be ready to immerse themselves in a collaborative onsite setting and demonstrate a commitment to recognizing each learner’s unique strengths and needs.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active and valid Oregon Special Education certification/license
- Recent, relevant experience in behavioral or high-volume classroom settings
- Proven ability to provide interventions for students with significant behavioral or learning needs
- Required: Contact information for three most recent supervisors—no exceptions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and rapport-building
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and delivering individualized instructional and behavioral support plans
- Collaborating closely with colleagues, support staff, and families
- Monitoring and documenting student progress; adapting strategies as needed
- Maintaining a positive and safe classroom environment for all students
