Special Education Teacher - Smithville, GA
A new contract opportunity is available for a talented Special Education Teacher certified in Georgia to serve a high school caseload for the upcoming academic year. This assignment begins on August 3, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, offering a consistent 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role is located near Smithville, GA, and provides a competitive rate of $38 per hour.
Candidates should bring strong instructional and organizational skills to provide individualized support, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with both students and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Special Education teaching certification required
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to manage and support a diverse caseload effectively
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver instruction to a high school caseload of students with varied special needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure success for all students
