What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (state-to-state reciprocity is encouraged)
- Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues
- Effective classroom management and instructional skills
- Dedication to empowering students through advocacy and individualized instruction
- Adaptability, flexibility, and enthusiasm for traveling and working in new school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Track and document student progress, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Build positive relationships with families to promote student success
- Engage in ongoing professional development and orientation to best practices in special education
