As a valued educator in this role, you’ll work Monday through Friday in a full-time capacity (37.5 hours per week), collaborating with a dedicated educational team to create a supportive, engaging environment for young learners. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching license and certification in Special Education
- Experience with early elementary (4K–2nd grade) or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of cross-categorical special education practices
- Skilled in developing individualized academic and behavioral plans
- Ability to nurture student growth in both academic and self-regulation skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver academic instruction based on individual education plans (IEPs)
- Address mild self-regulation concerns with positive behavioral supports
- Engage with general education and related service providers for inclusive learning
- Monitor and document student progress
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding goals and achievements
