Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 32.5 hours each week, providing instruction and case management for a caseload that ranges from 8 to 20 students. The assignment runs from September 17, 2026, to June 11, 2027, offering you stability and the chance to see your students grow throughout the academic year.
To be a great fit for this role:
- Hold an active Connecticut teaching certificate with Comprehensive Special Education endorsement #165.
- Have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree, completed an approved Special Education preparation program, and met all Connecticut testing/eligibility requirements.
- Demonstrate experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning profiles.
- Feel comfortable adapting methods and collaborating with colleagues to develop IEPs and individualized goals.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement specialized instructional plans to address individual student goals.
- Monitor, record, and communicate student progress.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to supportive, inclusive education environments.
- Work closely with families and multidisciplinary staff to maximize student success.
