Special Education Teacher | Streamwood, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

- Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction
- Proficiency in implementing and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate with staff and families to promote student success
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging, effective lesson plans tailored to student abilities
- Manage a positive, structured classroom environment
- Develop, implement, and write IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, service providers, and team members
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the school community
- Work standard schedules from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily
