Virtual Special Education Teacher - WY

A part-time opportunity is available for a Special Education professional to serve as an Online Special Education Mentor supporting teachers across Wyoming. This fully remote role focuses on providing virtual guidance and coaching to Special Education teachers, helping to enhance instructional practices and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering one-on-one virtual mentoring and instructional support tailored to individual Special Education teachers’ needs.
• Assisting with IEP development, ensuring adherence to compliance and accurate documentation.
• Sharing best practices in classroom management, accommodations, and evidence-based instruction techniques.
• Providing constructive feedback, encouragement, and professional coaching to foster teacher growth.
• Supporting navigation of state and district special education policies and requirements.
• Maintaining consistent communication via virtual meetings, email, and online collaboration platforms.

Qualifications sought:

• Current Special Education teaching license; a Wyoming license is preferred but not mandatory.
• At least three years’ experience in Special Education teaching.
• Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP processes, and related compliance matters.
• Effective communication and coaching skills.
• Comfort and proficiency with virtual meeting tools and online collaboration.
• Experience in mentoring or instructional coaching is advantageous.
