Virtual Special Education Teacher in NE
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available, focused on delivering telehealth services for elementary students. This role involves supporting approximately 15-20 students across two elementary schools, with half-time assignments at each location. The position offers a dynamic opportunity to apply specialized teaching methods in a virtual environment, catering to diverse learner needs within a structured schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) via telehealth platforms to elementary students with special education needs
- Collaborating with educators and family members to support student progress and adapt instructional approaches
- Monitoring student engagement and academic performance, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with educational standards and policies
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Certified Special Education Teacher credential appropriate for elementary education
- Experience with telehealth instruction or online educational platforms preferred
- Ability to effectively manage and engage students remotely
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate between multiple school sites
