Virtual Special Education Teacher | Math Endorsement Required
A growing Arizona school district is seeking a skilled Virtual Special Education Teacher with "Highly Qualified in Math" Endorsement to provide online instruction and academic support for students requiring specialized services. This remote teaching position is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating individualized learning experiences and using technology to connect with students.
The successful candidate will provide targeted mathematics instruction, support IEP goals, and collaborate with district teams to ensure students receive effective accommodations and services. Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual special education instruction with an emphasis on mathematics.
- Create and modify lessons based on individual student learning needs.
- Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs.
- Monitor academic progress and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and parent conferences.
Skills
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction.
- Ability to teach mathematics concepts in an engaging virtual environment.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Comfortable using digital education platforms.
Qualifications
- Arizona Special Education teaching certification.
- Mathematics endorsement required.
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education compliance.
- Experience supporting students with varying learning needs.
Experience
- Previous special education teaching experience preferred.
- Experience teaching math intervention or secondary mathematics is highly valued.
- Virtual teaching experience is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or related field.
Work Hours
8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Mountain Time
37.5 hours per week
