Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students (as appropriate for each position)
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to effectively modify instruction for students with diverse learning needs
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and a positive, student-centered attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to support individual education plans
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and related service providers
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Engage with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt classroom routines and materials to ensure all students can participate fully
