This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11th to late November, just steps from the coast near El Segundo, CA. Be an integral resource as part of a supportive school environment focusing on mild to moderate RSP students.
You’ll provide in-class “push-in” support, directly assisting students where they learn best—no pull-out services, SEIS documentation, assessments, or IEP meeting attendance required. Your daily efforts will be captured on a user-friendly internal tracking sheet, letting you focus on student growth without the paperwork overload.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist (SPED) credential
- Experience working with school-aged children with mild to moderate learning needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, teachers, and staff
- Ability to maintain accurate records using electronic or paper tracking
- Reliability and dedication to a consistent full-time schedule (Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:00pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in resource support to assigned students in classroom settings
- Track service minutes and interventions per internal guidelines (no SEIS)
- Partner with general education teachers to adapt instructional strategies
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educational team
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
