Are you a dedicated Special Education Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with significant needs? We are seeking an experienced and compassionate educator to join an Intensive Support Needs Classroom in Torrington, WY, serving students with moderate to severe disabilities and significant behavioral needs.
Position Details:
- Full-Time
- In-Person Position
- Moderate/Severe Special Education Classroom
- Intensive Support Needs Setting
- Students with significant behavioral needs
- Provide specialized academic, behavioral, and functional skills instruction
- Develop and implement IEPs and individualized behavior supports
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Qualifications:
- Active Wyoming Special Education License/Certification
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong behavior management and de-escalation skills
- Experience supporting students with significant behavioral challenges preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
