Middle School Special Education Teacher (LBS1) | Vernon Hills, IL

Responsibilities:
Provide Special Education services for 8th-grade students in co-taught and resource classroom settings.
Deliver targeted resource instruction to small groups of approximately 8–10 students.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
Track student progress, maintain required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
Travel between Hawthorn Middle School South and Hawthorn Middle School North during the school day as needed.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) License.
Previous experience providing resource instruction and co-teaching at the middle school level preferred.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff.
Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
