Qualifications:
- Current and active Special Education (SPED) Certification in Louisiana is required
- Previous experience working with special education populations is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and ability to create and implement individualized instruction plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and organization to balance caseload responsibilities effectively
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, documenting progress and maintaining compliance
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and inclusivity
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations
- Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
