Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a full-time, onsite contract position. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Experience working in high school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation
- Strong collaboration skills with general education teachers and support staff
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 16 high school students integrated within general education classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum and provide accommodations
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment to support student engagement and growth
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed to promote student success
